Meet Neessa Mueller
Neessa grew up near the Murray River in the Riverland before moving to the Barossa Valley in 2013 where she pursued her passion, dedication and love for horses. Studying a certificate II in stable hand and Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing she worked for a small Thoroughbred trainer before working as a Stud Hand at South Australia’s Largest Thoroughbred breeding farm and then on to work at South Australia’s only Equine referral hospital at Roseworthy as an Equine Veterinary Nurse.
In 2020, She returned to the thoroughbred stud where she grew into the Yearling and Spelling Manager role. Her career highlight to date is preparing and selling a thoroughbred weanling sired by unbeaten 14 time winning European Sire, Frankel at the 2023 National Weanling Sale held on the Gold Coast for $975,000. Her hands-on experience with horses, combined with her knowledge of their health and dietary needs, makes her an exceptional fit for the JNF team.
Outside of work, Neessa competes in Barrel Racing events associated with the Australian Barrel Horse Association and at Australian Rodeos. She also enjoys spending time with her two horses and her dog. Her creative side is expressed through photography and being behind the lens is one of her favourite pastimes along with enjoying the great outdoors, finding peace and adventure in camping and travelling.
Neessa has an interest in equine nutrition and equine medicine that she hopes to expand her knowledge working at Johnsons.
