Who has influenced your passion for equestrian the most and why?

There has been a few great mentors in the years I have been training horses. Max McTaggart was who got me started in my career, very accomplished horseman. In America Winston & Paul Hansma along with Lloyd Cox.

What has been your biggest riding-related accomplishment?

I’ve been a professional cutting horse trainer for 35 years, I would have to say, winning every major aged event at Tamworth (Open Futurity, Open Derby & Open Classic) also made 2 x Open Futurity finals in America (Texas)

What do you do to prepare yourself for competition?

I guess I am superstitious, don’t put your hat on the bed, it brings bad luck! and you won’t see me show in a green shirt

What is your dream riding goal?

I feel like I have accomplished a lot in my professional career, keeping learning and continued success to training cutting horses.

Which is your favourite Johnson’s Natural Formula feed and why?

We love the Platinum Low GI, as there no by-products in any of the Johnson Natural Formula feed range. They have all natural ingredients. You don’t see this in pre made feeds, very low maintenance feed, but gives you high quality results. Very low dust levels, excellent products for respiratory problems and very palatable our horses love it.
