Destiny Downs Cattle Co. is owned and operated by Shane and Leanne Kenny and their three children Ellysa, Tyler and Jayden – at ‘Destiny Downs’ located in Emerald in Central Queensland. The Kenny family are heavily involved in rodeo as competitors and timed event stock contractors.
Shane is 15 times All Round Cowboy of Australia, 13 times Rope and Tie Champion, 4 times Steer Wrestling Champion and 4 times Team Roping Champion – and is the most decorated Cowboy in Australia.
Leanne has been 4-time Circuit All Round Cowgirl, 5 times Breakaway Champion and 4 times Barrel Racing Champion.
Ellysa – also known as Liss – has won a Junior Breakaway and Junior Barrel Racing Title – and 2 All Round Australian Cowgirl Titles. She won her first All Round Title at the age of 15, breaking the record as the youngest competitor to win it. It’s also been a huge 2024 for Liss, taking out the 2024 All Round Champion Cowgirl at both the Mount Isa & Warwick Rodeos as well as the Ladies High Point Roper at the 2024 ATRA Circle L National Finals in Capella in September.
Tyler has won two Junior Heeling Titles, a Junior Breakaway Title, a Pro Tour Heeling Title and most recently won his first ever buckle in an APRA affiliated Steer Wrestling event – and
Jayden has won a Junior Heading Title when he was 11, was ATRA High Point Roper in 2022, qualified for the APRA Junior Nationals Finals Rodeo in 2022 and 2023 as well as winning the 2024 Junior Breakaway Roping Title in Mount Isa.
And for the second time, Shane, Liss, Tyler and Jayden all qualified and competed together at the APRA National Finals Rodeo in Gracemere in Queensland in 2023.
